Mario Kart Wii Random WiFi Races 4 First vid using... ugh... Sony Vegas. VideoStudio was getting too basic for my vids so I switched. If anyone knows how to fade the music and disable automation PM me, it's driving me insane. 1st Race - GCN DK Mountain On the first 2 laps I was item-spammed and got some major bad luck. Then see what happens on the 3rd lap =) 2nd Race - Rainbow Road Everything was fine until halfway in the 1st lap, where I got hit with a spiny shell. Mario Kart Wii Random WiFi Races 3 Some more WiFi races that I recorded since I was bored and had nothing better to do... H264 encoding is as slow as crap so this took most of my time X( ** Race commentary is provided via annotations, it's best to leave that on or you'll be missing out on what I have to say in the race =) ** ------------------------------------------- Race 1 - DS Yoshi Falls The start was okay, and I was in 1st place until halfway in the race where some item-spammer uses a star when he's in 2nd and almost hits me. Trying to dodge it made me forever be in 2nd, so, eh... -_-; Race 2 - Dry Dry Ruins This race was kind of... boring. No real challenge, all the players were a bit wimpy. Even a blue shell couldn't let them catch up =D Race 3 - DS Peach Gardens This was also a relatively tame race. Mario Kart Wii Random WiFi Races 2 Another few WiFi races that I just happened to get the time to record today. (Then again, it's summer, I always have time XD) Anyways, I've encoded it in such a way that it looks great (though it still has to go through YT re-encoders). And PLEASE click "watch in high quality", or else you can't see anything. Race 1 - Moonview Highway: This was literally a disaster. I got item-spammed like crazy, and the vehicles everywhere, of course, did not help. About every 10 seconds I get some bad close-encounter or colliding with an item/car/wall. The lag at the time (characters randomly jumping around) also confused me. I managed to get something a little better than last, though. Race 2 - Maple Treeway: A good start, but again I was item-spammed. Very badly. Right on the final lap when I was about to catch up to 1st place, guess what? A banana peel on a jump booster. Mario Kart Wii Random WiFi Races Please, for the sake of your own eyes, click the "watch in high quality" link at the bottom. Without it, you can't even SEE anything in front of Yoshi. If you want good sound and decent video (a bit more blocky due to using a different codec) then go to http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q3-Xv2_LRoY&fmt=18 (It's a secret feature meant to work on iPods but works nicely here too) However the HQ version eats up a lot of bandwidth so it needs a 1.5 Mbps or better connection. I decided to record some random Wi-Fi races since I haven't made a vid in a while. It's not from a capture card, but it's extreme quality considering it's a recording of a TV... Race 1 - Mario Circuit: Aagh, totally screwed up on this. People kept on firing powerful items on me, and I kept going off-course since I'm so not used to the Mach Bike. -_- Race 2 - Toad's Factory: Okay, this one was pretty decent. If only I hadn't smashed myself with that hammer-stamp-thingy at the beginning of the course. Trust me though, the majority of the party was boring chatting and endless CW fights, I just kept the interesting parts. I had to continuously decide and chop up the parts, making sure the more important clips were in there. I also wasted around 6 hours playing with codecs and bitrate settings. I also had to make sure this vid wasn't like those other... hackjobs with the video pasted in with some random music that looped in Windows Movie Maker. So I present my first quality edited RS video! ^.^ Ignore the rather heavy compression artifacts, YouTube made this look like crap.
