Wear A Helmet (Australian ad) 1984 [HD] Federal Office Of Road Safety 'Wear A Helmet' commercial from 1984 transferred from Philips VCR cassette. This commercial features a cameo appearence of Molly Meldrum riding his bike with a bunch of young riders through a tunnel into a 1980s surrealistic 3D computer animated Sydney which they fly all over Sydney through the city, over AMP Centrepoint Tower, through the SCG, over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and exiting through the mouth of Lunar Park, and of course a real cool 80s rock soundtrack to go with the ad. Pretty expensive ad to send a simple message across but I guess it takes a commercial like this to get that message through to kids as they would then think it's cool and trendy to wear a helmet and go out and buy themselves a Stackhat. Channel 7 'Looking Good' ID (colour remake) This is a mid 70s style colour remake of the old 1970 Channel 7 "Looking Good" station ID which I made using the same art work used a recreated artwork of the station logo keyed over video clips. I refined the artwork so it looks nice and neat as the video still of the old logo looked rather ripply and I picked some clips that I think would go well in replacement of the original, for the picture at the top I used excerpts from a 1977 and 1979 Channel 7 ID and some excerpts from a mid 70s Export Cola ad and mixed them all together, for the bottom clip I used a clip from a 1981 Seven's Big League footy game and for the circle I used excerpts from a 1976 Paul Hogan Show. I blended the footage together and combined it with a soundtrack of Sherbet's "Life". This is a 1981 revamp of a famous classic Aussie Holden commercial from the mid 70s which uses the Aussie slogan "We love football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars", VERY AUSTRALIAN!!! Though not an original idea, this ad slogan is an Aussie adaptation for an American Chevrolet commercial from the same era which used the slogan "We love baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet", still we Australianised that slogan enough to make it sound like it's our own! 1970 Channel 7 logo spoof remake I thought I'd do a mock up version of this logo in colour making it look like the original but with my own clips in it. I took a still of the logo art in the original logo, colourise it, then I put 2 clips together split screened and key the logo art over them and keyed in the circle another clip. This is a slaptogether mockup of an idea I have which is to do a mid 70s version of the 1970 "Looking Good" Channel 7 logo in colour in which I will refine the logo art so it looks smooth and undistorted and will be using TV show clips of the mid 70s era to make it look authentic, the audio I've used will probably stay as instrumentals like this were used for station logos and fit well with them.
