Sawyer
I was watching It's a Wonderful Life tonight as I do every year around Christmas and I noticed for the first time that The Adventures of Tom Sawyer seemed to have some sort of symbolic meaning. It's mentioned right at the beginning when Clarence (the angel) says that he is reading it. And then when Clarence is actually with George Bailey, there are a few scenes where he is holding it in a way that it's obvious the audience is supposed to notice it.
So I was wondering if anyone could figure out the connection.
Thanks in advance. :)
